Our comprehensive solution identifies potential threats associated with individuals who have a known history of violent behavior and automates all requests for first responder assistance by eliminating the dependency on time-consuming 911 phone calls. The SOS system reduces emergency notification/dispatch times from an average of 8-10 minutes to less than 3 seconds.
Through a variety of direct integrations into your existing security and communication systems, the SOS platform delivers valuable information to first responders that provides real-time visibility into the origin, location, and ongoing conditions associated with your emergency assistance requests.
Panic Buttons and Pendants
SmartSOS panic buttons are used by staff to request emergency assistance from both campus security staff as well as 911 law enforcement. Panic buttons and pendants are 900mz wireless devices that operate off of 5-year battery packs. The SmartSOS system monitors the battery and wireless signal strength every few seconds.
SmartSOS Hub
The Hub is a compact computer server that is wirelessly connected to panic buttons, pendants, and signal boosters/repeaters. The Hub requires a 100v power outlet. It has a 48-hour battery backup in the event there is loss of power. The Hub receives emergency notification requests and, using the Hub’s cellular communicator, delivers each request to campus security staff and 911 first responders. The SmartSOS platform never relies on the institute’s WiFi or internet connections to route emergency communication requests.
Master Control Panel
The control panel is wireless, wall-mounted on-premise at the institution, enables false alarms, and testing of the system, and controls various features associated with the wall-mounted panic buttons.
Siren-Strobe Device
The siren-strobe device is an integral part of the SmartSOS platform and is vital to ensuring that persons within facilities are made aware of emergency situations, thereby being able to engage in the proper protocol.
