We are looking for an experienced Inside Sales Representative to help build pipeline, qualify opportunities, and create new customer conversations across priority markets.

Position Overview

The Inside Sales Representative will play a key role in driving new business activity for SOS Technologies. This person will focus primarily on outbound prospecting and appointment setting, with additional responsibility for inbound lead qualification and follow-up on partner and channel opportunities.

This is a hands-on sales development role for someone who is comfortable picking up the phone, writing effective outreach, qualifying prospects, and setting high-quality meetings for the sales team. The ideal candidate understands how to sell into complex organizations and can communicate the value of a mission-critical safety platform in a clear, professional, and credible way.

This role will begin as a contractor position with the opportunity to convert to a full-time direct hire based on performance and business needs.

Key Responsibilities

Outbound Prospecting and Pipeline Development

  • Identify and engage prospective customers across higher education, healthcare, retail, enterprise, K-12, charter schools, and public sector accounts.
  • Conduct outbound calls, emails, and LinkedIn outreach to generate qualified meetings for the sales team.
  • Research target accounts to identify the right decision-makers in safety, security, facilities, operations, IT, and executive leadership.
  • Develop account-specific outreach that connects SOS Technologies’ capabilities to each customer’s safety, compliance, operational, or emergency response priorities.
  • Maintain consistent activity levels across calls, emails, follow-ups, and scheduled meetings.

Lead Qualification

  • Qualify inbound leads to determine fit, urgency, budget, authority, and next steps.
  • Capture key information about customer needs, current emergency response processes, technology environment, and potential use cases.
  • Route qualified opportunities to the appropriate sales leader with clear notes and recommended follow-up actions.
  • Help separate high-value opportunities from low-fit inquiries.

Partner and Channel Follow-Up

  • Support follow-up activity from partner introductions, channel events, webinars, trade shows, and field sales meetings.
  • Help convert partner-sourced interest into qualified customer conversations.
  • Coordinate with internal sales leadership to ensure timely follow-up on opportunities from partners such as carriers, technology partners, resellers, and integrators.
  • Track partner-related activity and outcomes in the CRM.

CRM and Sales Operations Discipline

  • Maintain accurate and current records in the CRM.
  • Use HubSpot or similar CRM tools to manage contacts, accounts, activities, tasks, and pipeline status.
  • Document all prospect interactions, meeting outcomes, qualification notes, and next steps.
  • Support reporting on activity metrics, conversion rates, and pipeline contribution.
  • Follow defined sales processes while helping improve outreach messaging and qualification criteria over time.

The Inside Sales Representative will focus on creating new conversations in markets where SOS Technologies can deliver meaningful safety and emergency response value, including:

  • Higher education
  • Healthcare
  • Retail
  • Enterprise campuses
  • K-12 and charter schools
  • Public sector organizations
  • Security, facilities, and operations-led environments

Ideal Candidate Profile

The right candidate has experience in inside sales, sales development, or business development and understands how to create opportunities in a business-to-business environment.

They should be comfortable with structured prospecting, persistent follow-up, and thoughtful qualification. This person does not need to be deeply technical, but they should be able to explain a technology solution clearly and understand how different stakeholders think about risk, safety, operations, and budget.

Qualifications

Required

  • 3+ years of inside sales, SDR, BDR, or sales development experience.
  • Proven experience with outbound prospecting and appointment setting.
  • Strong phone, email, and written communication skills.
  • Experience selling or prospecting into business, enterprise, education, healthcare, retail, or public sector accounts.
  • Ability to research accounts and identify relevant decision-makers.
  • Comfortable working with CRM systems.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple follow-ups at once.
  • Self-motivated, accountable, and comfortable working in a fast-moving environment.
  • Ability to communicate professionally with executives, security leaders, operations teams, and partner contacts.

Preferred

  • Experience with HubSpot.
  • Experience selling technology, SaaS, security, public safety, emergency response, IoT, connectivity, or physical security solutions.
  • Familiarity with channel or partner-driven sales motions.
  • Experience supporting field sales teams or senior sales leaders.
  • Prior experience in a contractor-to-hire role or early-stage growth environment.
